The Middle School at Dexter Southfield is a place where students thrive—they learn about their strengths, explore meaningful topics, build skills and have fun. In these crucial years our students connect deeply with ideas, service and peers and faculty members alike. They learn to effectively ask questions and apply larger concepts while taking new paths to search for answers. Both inside the classroom and elsewhere, our students’ time in the Middle School gives them both expertise and a sound place to stand as they grow into the individuals they want to become.
Dexter Southfield has entry points in Classes 6 and 7 for the Middle School; and Class 9 for the Upper School. Space is available based on attrition in other Classes. Dexter Southfield will accept applications to any Class; however, student visits may be limited if it is a non-entry year.
The Admissions Office provides each prospective family with guidance through the process and ample opportunity to develop a genuine understanding of Dexter Southfield’s academic program, culture, and offerings.
