Woodworking

In the lower school, students start out in woodworking by cutting out simple shapes with coping saws, and learning the sequence of sawing, hammering, filing, and sanding. As they get older and more skilled, students also use cordless drills and electric sanders. In the middle and upper school programs, students work on progressively more difficult projects. Upper school students are encouraged to design projects of their own with instruction and supervision.
