Drama productions for both Middle School and Upper School students offer opportunities to participate in a range of theatrical experiences, including acting, tech crew, set design, and directing. All productions have both male and female participants.
- Theater classes begin in Classes 4 and 5 with weekly sessions for all students. The fundamentals of theater are introduced through games and fun activities.
- Students in Class 6 can audition for a grade-specific winter play. Rehearsals occur on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- The spring play, typically a musical, is performed by students in Classes 7-8. Rehearsals take place on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- The Upper School Theater Program offers two productions each year. The fall play is often a musical with a large cast and opportunities for both lead and supporting roles, while the winter production tends to be a smaller cast with substantial roles for all actors. There are also opportunities to be involved as members of stage crew for both productions. Participants are awarded a performing arts credit and are required to attend three evening rehearsals per week.
