Swimming at Dexter Southfield Summer Camps is one of our campers' favorite activities. Many campers who spend the summer with us arrive as new swimmers and leave with a new sense of confidence in the water.

Swim sessions are overseen by certified lifeguards current in Water Safety Instruction, CPR, and AED training to ensure swimmers' safety.

About the Lincoln Pool

  • The water is heated.
  • It is 4' in the shallow end and 12' in the deep end.
  • It is 25 yards long and 15 yards wide.
  • We have a one meter-long diving board.
  • The pool was built as a outdoor structure; the building was built around the water.
  • Our roof can retract, so we can become an "indoor/outdoor" pool on sunny days!
  • The pool is also used by competitive swimming teams like Crimson Aquatics.

Testimonial from the parent of a camper

My 5 year old son became a strong and confident swimmer at the Dexter Southfield Summer Camps swim program. In a matter of weeks he passed the deep end test, leaving his swim bubble behind. At the camp pool, I watched my son jumping off the diving board into the deep end, practicing the back stroke, and beginning to dive. The swim coaches and lifeguards teach the young campers to swim with patience and encouragement - keeping safety the top priority. I am truly impressed by the strength of this program!
