The Dexter Southfield Fund

The Dexter Southfield Fund is a vital annual effort that contributes close to 8% of the School’s operating budget. These critical resources, available for immediate use, drive forward the School’s mission by supporting educational curriculum, financial aid, faculty professional development and compensation, athletics, the arts, facilities, and the student experience.

The Dexter Southfield Fund is successful each year due to the generosity of many members of our community, including current and former parents, faculty and staff, alumni, grandparents, and friends. We are grateful to each of the over 1,300 donors to last year’s effort; your collective support of the School and demonstrated belief in its mission are not only inspiring but also have a real and meaningful impact at Dexter Southfield.

Broad community participation is very important to the School. We are proud to share that in 2017-2018, 89% of current parents, 92% of faculty and staff, and 11% of alumni made a gift to the Dexter Southfield Fund. This year we are focused on increasing these numbers even more as we move towards our 2018-2019 goal of $2.475 million.

Each year gifts to the Dexter Southfield Fund range in amount from $5 to over $100,000, and gifts of $2,500 and above are considered leadership and receive special recognition in School publications. The 2018-2019 Dexter Southfield Fund will end on June 30, 2019. All gifts are tax-deductible.
