Dear Families,

During my 40 years as a member of this community, I have had the privilege of experiencing the value of a Dexter Southfield education from many perspectives, including classroom teacher, coach, bus driver, enrichment camp coordinator, division head, and parent. While the School has grown and evolved tremendously, we remain committed to our original guiding principle: Dexter Southfield provides a student-centered environment, one where your children will thrive both individually and as part of a community.

As a result of our intentional focus on academic excellence, character, and the power in trying it all, your children will come to understand that they are capable of more than they may have ever imagined. Our approach is best reflected in the phrase “Our Best Today, Better Tomorrow.”  This is more than just our School’s motto; it is a concept embraced by every Dexter Southfield community member.
