Safety & Security

At Dexter Southfield, community safety informs everything we do, from day-to-day precautions to preparing for the unlikely event of a major emergency. 

Dexter Southfield has strong connections to the Brookline and Boston emergency services communities, including several current and former parents serving in law enforcement. Emergency service teams help inform our protocols, and they are deeply familiar with our buildings and campus. We also employ two full-time safety and security officers who monitor our campus closely.

Throughout the year, faculty, staff, and students practice a series of safety drills as part of our comprehensive emergency response and campus safety plan to ensure students feel safe and know what to do in the unlikely event of an emergency.
