Dexter Southfield’s financial aid program provides grants-in-aid to accepted students who, without such assistance, would be unable to attend. The program is a need-based only program; there are no scholarships or merit awards available for academic, artistic, or athletic ability and grants-in-aid are based upon mandatory tuition-related School charges. Dexter Southfield’s tuition includes transportation and lunch. It is expected that every family assume some portion of the cost of their child’s education and provide for discretionary expenses relating to athletic supplies, photographs, laptop computers, and book fair charges. Dexter Southfield awards grants-in-aid without regard to race, color, creed, or national origin. Preference is given to currently enrolled students.
Since financial aid is funded from the School’s operating revenue, the number and amount of grants-in-aid available are limited. Because the School’s resources and the needs of our families change from year to year, we request that families submit an application each year.
