Parents Association

Lorem Ipsum

The Dexter Southfield Parents Association is a Parent-School partnership with the purpose of fostering meaningful connections, collaboration, communication, and citizenship among the Dexter Southfield community.

The Parents Association strives to cultivate active parent involvement, affinity, and ambassadorship within our community to make Dexter Southfield “Our Best Today, Better Tomorrow.” All parents of current Dexter Southfield students are members of the Parents Association.

Recognizing that parent involvement is integral to a thriving school community, the Dexter Southfield Parents Association assists in:

  • planning and hosting events,
  • recommending and facilitating parent education,
  • aiding the onboarding process for new families,
  • encouraging and coordinating volunteers,
  • and fostering a positive school spirit .

Becoming involved in the Dexter Southfield Parents Association is a great way to meet and get to know other Dexter Southfield parents and have fun, too! There are a variety of ways to participate, from one-time parent volunteer opportunities to formal volunteer roles or simply attending an event.

Sharing my time as a part of the Parents Association helps me feel more a part of this community and to show my appreciation for all this School has done for my students. I made a point to become involved with the Parents Association at the first opportunity, which immediately allowed me to meet other parents across all divisions. What I love the most about the Parents Association is having the chance to visit campus during the day.

The Dexter community is warm and welcoming, encouraging parents to get involved. I believe that participating and volunteering at school events is the best way to become part of the community. Through these involvements, I get to know teachers, other parents and families, gain new perspectives on the School's plans and decisions, and have a lot of fun.
