Three Divisions, One Community

Dexter Southfield is a unique environment where each child thrives individually and as part of a community.

The school consists of three divisions—lower, middle, and upper—all learning together on one beautiful campus. From PreK-Class 12, students experience a progression of essential skills needed for the future.

Lower School

PreK-Class 5 | Foundation

Lower School students benefit from an intentional single-sex structure tailored to each child’s strengths, learning styles, and cognitive development.

Middle School

Classes 6-8 | Transition

Middle School students take risks, build greater self-confidence and independence, and learn how they learn best.

Upper School

Classes 9-12 | Formation

Our co-ed Upper School is the setting for rich class discussions, collaboration, and critical thinking as we prepare students for college and life beyond.
