A Guide to Technology in the Lower School
Across the Lower School, we focus on developing strong foundational skills through hands-on, interpersonal, and paper-based learning. We equally prioritize the role technology plays in the student experience. In the early grades, students intermittently use devices, provided and managed by the School, as tools specifically for learning and assessment in the classroom.
Classes 4 and 5 become a turning point as we begin preparing students for Middle School. Students interact with technology regularly, and devices become tools to support academic work, organization, and the growing independence expected of students. At this stage, families are asked to provide a personal device to support their child's academic work.
