Current seasonal positions
Hoping to join our camp team? Learn some facts about the upcoming camp season and peruse our available camp positions below.
- Dexter Southfield is fortunate to have a 90% return rate on summer staff. Positions listed below are limited.
- All applicants should be 16 years of age or older.
- Staff are expected on campus between 7:30 a.m. until the last camper leaves (typically 3:45 p.m.).
- All positions are seasonal. Preference is given to candidates who are able to work the full camp season between June 20 and August 12.
- If selected, all staff and volunteers must undergo a background check and attend our staff training in the week before camp begins.
- Starting in 2022, hired staff in our various camps will be required to work a minimum number of days.
- Junior Camp, Day Camp, Sci-Tech Camp, and Girls in Science, operating under a 7-week schedule, will be required to work 30 days.
- Hockey Camp, Soccer Camp, and Sports & Adventures Camp, operating under an 8-week schedule, will be required to work 35 days.
- We are currently working with the local Board of Health to determine COVID-19 procedures for the summer of 2022. Please note that all staff may be required to wear masks and maintain social distancing protocols.
