Musical Theater Camp puts on a full production from start to finish!

Musical theater-loving campers can find their creative outlet here at Dexter Southfield. Thespians-to-be will develop singing, dancing, and acting skills throughout our three-week session.

Campers should come ready to participate both on stage and off. Our days will be broken up into sessions that allow campers to run lines, practice choreography, learn blocking, and create set pieces and props needed to make their performances shine.

Please note that our staff will build free swim and traditional camp activities into choice time activity blocks the first week and a half of our schedule. In preparation for the final shows, however, our focus will shift to rehearsal-only programming for the last half of our session..

See the trailer from our last production!

To get an idea of the end result of our campers' hard work, view the trailer from our 2024 season.

New! Stage Leadership Track

New this summer, 14 and 15 year olds will have the option of stepping into a new role at Musical Theater Camp: one that helps build their skills off the stage! Designed to boost the confidence of campers who are interested in helping actors be their best onstage, the Stage Leadership Track will have the opportunity to shadow their counselors and the director team to learn the ins and outs of the lighting and sound equipment, creating beautiful scenery and props, and perhaps taking on the role of stage manager for the entire production.

Please note: campers who are 14 years old will have the option to select either the regular Musical Theater Camp OR the Stage Leadership Track on the camper application.
